It's Pantomime Season!

Oh, no it isn't!
Oh, yes it is!

Who would have thought neglectful parents, evil goblins, spooky talking trees and child-boiling witches would make for fun Christmas entertainment?

Well, when the panto is in town, good always triumphs over evil and Y4 and Y6's performance of Hansel and Gretel was no exception, as you can see from the photos below...

If you missed the amazing rehearsal videos at the start of the performance, catch a glimpse of them below...

And if you want to keep a careful check on what the Robbers got during their Tango, the evidence is clear:

Well done Years 4 and 6!!!

Well, Oakwood has done it again - Year4/6 Christmas show this afternoon was excellent!

The singing was first class and the acting was really good too, with lots of children having an input which was very pleasing. You could see from all the children's faces that they were having fun and wanted to be involved in the show. I particularly enjoyed the percussion section which performed brilliantly and in time and keeping with the music.

It certainly was a fun show, full of life and vitality and a really good start to Christmas.

Please pass on my SINCERE THANKS to all the children and staff involved. I know how hard it is to co-ordinate a show like that and it all came together perfectly and was lovely to see. Thank you very much indeed for inviting me.

Happy Christmas to you and all the staff at Oakwood. I hope you all are able to have a restful, relaxing, fun time.

Kind regards,

Elaine
