Knapp House Day 2: Surf's Up!

Only five minutes drive away from Knapp House is Westward Ho! beach where we went to do surfing! Here's our short journey... (Zoom right in for a really close up look at the beach!)



Westward Ho! is the only town in the UK which has an exclamation mark in its name. (Leave us a comment if you know why!)

To warm up before going in the water, everyone played team games and learned how to use the body board safely...



And then it was into the water to put it all into practice! (Spot Miss Beavill enjoying a bit of sunbathing at the end!)

    Westward Ho! was named after the book of the same name written by Charles Kingsley in the mid 1800s. Is that why there's an exclamation mark, because it's the title of a book?
