Year 5 Dissect Flowers

Year 5 were transformed into surgeons this afternoon, as we dissected tulips to investigate the reproductive parts of a flower. The children had to very carefully take apart and label all of the elements of the flower and they also discovered the role that each part plays in pollination and fertilisation.

We think they did brilliantly. Have a look through the gallery to see their fantastic work.
