Year 2 Royal Victoria Country Park Trip
Year 2 had a fantastic day on Friday at Royal Victoria Country Park.
During the day we learnt to:
- Describe conditions at the barrack hospital in Scutari before Florence Nightingale.
- Name different jobs carried out by the staff at the hospital.
- Suggest how people’s feelings about the hospital changed as a result.
- Know that the Royal Victoria Hospital was built to treat sick and wounded soldiers.
- Understand some of Florence Nightingale’s reasons for criticising the hospital design.
- Know some of the ways Florence Nightingale changed how soldiers were cared for.
Take a look and see how we got on!
