I found dragee in a french dictionary.
You are right that dragee is a French word, but it is also used in English. It's the English meaning that I would like you to find out.
Dragee is a cake decoration.e.g. I put dragee and sprinkles on top of my cake.
It is a sugar coated sweet that can go on cakes or eaten as a confectionery eg sugar coated almonds. She would of read the word in a cook book.
