Year 3 Become Artists for the Day!
Year 3 had a wonderful day yesterday visiting our local Southampton Art Gallery. The children learned a lot about the art work in the gallery, and how it links to our Science unit 'Materials'.
As part of our topic work the children made clay self portraits learning many new skills of how to use clay.

Thank you Miss Hutchinson and 3GH for letting me join you for the day. I found the day very interesting and enjoyed seeing you all studying the paintings and working so hard to make your 'busts' out of clay. I know it wasn't easy making the models but you all tried very hard and did an excellent job. Well done.
