Another beautiful morning here at Knapp and no early risers this morning (including staff!). Take a look at all the hungry campers:

31 children from across the school attended the Southampton City Athletics Championships at Southampton Sports Centre yesterday and enjoyed the glorious sunshine and some friendly competition against 15 other Southampton schools!
Children from Years 3 and 4 competed in: 60m, 4x100m relay, 400m, as well as long jump and throwing. Whilst Years 5 and 6 also competed in 80m, 150m, 600m, 1000m, as well as high jump and triple jump.
Oakwood were represented in all the events during the day and we managed to have athletes going for gold in 12 out of the 18 event finals.
Oakwood now has some City Champions too!
We won a gold in the Y5 girls 150m final, while we also won thoroughly deserved their silver and bronze medals in the Y4 boys/girls 60m respectively.
Congratulations to all of those who represented Oakwood so fantastically during the day.
And a big thanks to all the friends and families who came to support team Oakwood.

All's well in sunny Devon. It's been a fantastically active Tuesday and lots of fun and smiles have been had. Here's a small taster (lots more photos to come!)
Year 6 designed and wrote postcards to friends at Knapp House, telling them of their adventures at Woodmill Activity Centre. The main topic of conversation being how Mr Moore did not reach the top of the climbing wall and Miss Patchett did, despite her shrieking!

After rain and rainbows last night, the sun is shining here at Knapp. Everyone got a great night's sleep and rose nice and early (girls very early!!) to enjoy the open space and beautiful countryside here at Knapp. Here are a few photos:-
Coastal Walk, Surfing, Swimming, Low Ropes to come-we might even squeeze in a quick sneaky peak at a certain football match!

We've had a great day here at Knapp House - it's been sunny all day, as you can see from our Abseiling and Climbing photo stream...
We also went on the RIB Ride out into the Bristol Channel - it was raining by this point and the spray was really biting into our faces...
We also went crabbing in the rain and saw the most fantastic rainbow...
And this afternoon, the group that wasn't Abseiling and Climbing went Ringo Riding!
If you want to experience the feeling... here you go!

We had a fantastic start to our new topic - 'Awesome Egyptians', featuring LOTS of toilet paper! We baked flat bread, dressed as Pharaohs and danced to the Bangles classic. Please have a look at our photos!

Year three had a wonderful day finding out all about Andy Warhol. First, they started off discussing what they already know and then putting together a timeline of his work. They also had the opportunity to do some 'press printing' looking at repeating patterns 'Warhol' style. Both classes worked extremely hard today, well done!
