Oaklands DT Project

Just before Christmas, twelve children from Year 6 went up to Oaklands Community School and worked with their Year 10 students in the DT workshops. We went several times (walking there and back) and learned how to make our own plaster tiles (and decorate them!)

We also made our own personal Noughts and Crosses games, using wood. To do this, we had to learn how to use some of the special equipment in the workshops, including the saws and sanders.

We would like to say a big thank you to Mrs Larder (who walked with us) and Ms Twells (who arranged it) and to the students and staff at Oaklands. We worked hard and learned a lot!
