We have been learning about Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. We have also be comparing hospitals today with hospitals from the past (Crimean War). We asked children to produce a piece of work about our topic and present it to the class.

We have been busy collecting old boxes and other bits to reuse for our junk-modelling project! We carefully designed our animals first in our art sketch books and then got to work! We used scissors to cut pieces to the right size and then masking tape to attach.

Year 2 have come to the end of their Human Form art topic where we have learned lots of new skills and techniques. We strated with digital art and creating letter body shapes, then we designed skulls like Damien Hirst, then we moved onto collaging faces. After that we looked at Julian Opie and Edwina Bridgeman's creations and recreated their work. Take a look and see which human form creation you like the best!
