If you'd like to read any of the books again, you can find them in the school library. Here is the full list of book:
Here is today's advent book - How the Grinch stole Christmas, read by Ms Patchett and Mr Ackland.
Here's today's advent book - The Lighthouse Keeper's Christmas. Read by Hayden, Will and Keira
It was a very exciting morning today at Oakwood.
It's the 1st of December and during whole school assembly this morning we launched our Advent Books. This is a traditional countdown to Christmas with a twist. Each day we will open the next door on the calendar and a new book is revealed to read.
Today's book was 'Santa is coming to Southampton' which Mr Taylor shared with us in assembly. Over the next 23 days we will reveal and read a new book each day - we will even be doing it at weekends! Pre-recorded videos will be posted on the school blog and on Twitter on the school website for the books over the weekend.
We'd love families to get involved and share the books again at home if you have them! We won't be revealing the books in advance but you can see each book on display in the school reception once it has been revealed.
