Year 2 Spring cake decorating

This week we have been learning about Easter and spring time, and what it means to us. Today the children in year 2 enjoyed a lovely afternoon decorating a cake with a bumblebee laying on some grass with flowers, with the help of a parent who is a professional baker.

They were shown how to decorate cakes with buttercream, chocolate and icing to create different spring themed cakes.
