Maya Portals to the Past Visitor

 Our children loved learning about the Ancient Maya from our expert visitor. They learned about Hunting, Trade, Religion, Sacrifice, Sport and Games, Weapons and Warfare, Everyday Life, Technology, Writing, Maths. They even sacrificed one of their teachers! 

We have also included photos of them presenting their understanding of Mayan artefacts earlier in the week. 

Y4 Visit Fishbourne Roman Palace

 Y4 enjoyed learning about the archeological evidence for everyday Roman life at Fishbourne Palace. 

Using Electricity

 In Year 4, we have been learning about using electricity. We have explored making our own circuits, and designing our own torches. 

Y4 Circus Skills

Today children worked on their growth mindset, their balance, their co-ordination and their gymnastics skills as they practiced for the circus. They had a go at tightrope walking, juggling, acrobatics and other circus challenges.

 Here are the final performances of our pan-African Lion King dance, our New Zealand Haka and our Christmas Crazy Dance.

Year 4 Biodiversity Survey

 Year 4 have completed their survey of the animals in their local habitat - the temperate woodland. They classified the animals they encountered and had fun exploring the woods. 

Music in Year 4

In Year 4 our children have continued with the Showcase music teaching they missed out on last year. In these videos you will see them perform what they have been working on this term.  

LKS2 join Joe Wick for Children in Need PE challenge

 LKS2 have joined Joe Wicks this morning for the end of his epic 24hour PE challenge. We have star jumped, kicked and sweated....lots. What a lot of fun. Well done LKS2 and well done Joe.
